Marvellous Murray
I'm not superstitious but a tiny white feather landed on Andy Murray today as he stretched up to serve-preparing for a crucial shot in The Australian Open. He had to stop, brush away the feather and start over. White feathers allegedly denote an angel is watching. It was a turning point. Guess what? He lost the point. The feather was lucky for his opponent Djokovic. Andy lost concentration distracted by a bird shedding one of its tiny feathers. 'One flew over Rod Laver Stadium. Melbourne' Call me too deep and an odd thinker- in my opinion that feather moment changed the course of tennis history. A subtle change came over awesome sublime tennis from Andy. I'm not a tennis addict but found myself on my own in my office calling out "C'mon Andy. Concentrate!" A big change came over me today. Do I ever get up early Sunday? No. Today I did Do I ever watch tv? Rarely Am I a tennis fan? Not really. Today I got up early to phone an Alfresco Fan in Darwin, Australia A friend had donated his "too small screen'" to me. Wow! I love it in my office. The first time I switched on to find a quiet cool evening in Melbourne.. our awesome Andy playing to win The First Open of the season to be the first British Champion since Fred Perry in 1934. Yes! My funny conclusion on a funny Sunday the eve of Australia Day is: Feathers land on us! We have no control over some things in life! I changed my pattern-I did take control of my life my morning. I saw the feather distract Andy. What does it all mean? Who knows? Have A Good Day Australia! Thank you Gillian in Darwin, Alfresco Fan for changing my life!
